City Surveying Limited is a Chartered Building Surveying practice established in 2023, specialising in the Party Wall Act and Neighbourly Matters.
If you are a 'Building Owner' embarking upon a new project, our specialist team of experienced professionals will work tirelessly and efficiently to help you deliver your scheme without delay.
Conversely, should you be an 'Adjoining Owner' having received a Party Wall Notice, our conscientious and personable team will provide you with peace of mind throughout the process, and ensure your interests are robustly protected.
Our surveying process is personable, thorough and efficient, regardless of the size and complexity of the scheme.
Be it a simple loft conversion, a complex basement excavation, or a large commercial redevelopment scheme, we work closely with our clients to fully understand their needs, concerns and goals, and utilise our vast experience to provide clarity, guidance and reassurance throughout the process.

When a 'Building Owner' intends to undertake works 'notifiable' under the Party Wall Act, then Party Wall notices must be served on all relevant neighbouring 'Adjoining Owners'.
If an Adjoining Owner 'dissents' to a notice, a Party Wall Award must be negotiated and formalised.
Please contact City Surveying for no obligation quotations and clear impartial advice.
Upon receipt of a Party Wall Notice, Adjoining Owners can appoint City Surveying to negotiate and agree a Party Wall Award on their behalf.
City Surveying will work tirelessly to ensure that their appointing owners interests are adequately protected.
Under normal circumstances all associated costs are payable by the Building Owner and documented within the Award.
An Adjoining Owner may consent to a Party Wall notice, subject to a detailed 'Schedule of Condition' inspection being undertaken of their property, to document a detailed record of its condition prior to commencement of works.
Similarly, Building Owners can protect themselves from incorrect claims of damage, by instructing Schedule of Condition inspections of neighbouring property.
